This post has stood the test of time, and the bloggers too! So a big shoutout to all the travel bloggers who continue to share their amazing experiences and continue to make the luxury travel blogosphere an amazing and exciting place to be. In no particular order, here are our picks! (Don’t forgot to follow us as well!)
A Luxury Travel Blog
Dr Paul Johnson is one of the most well respected travel bloggers we’ve come across. He and his writers publish an outrageous amount of high quality content day in and day out. So much so that in December he managed to attract a record number of visitors, even though December is usually a poor month for travel websites. His notable escapades this year include test driving a new hybrid Range Rover in India, about which he published a detailed and interesting article series. He visited one of our top favourite islands (Crete) and gave us a brilliant perspective on what the other side of the island is like. If luxury travel is as much your thing as it is ours, his blog is an absolute must.
Mrs O Around the World
Ana O’Reilly probably puts up the most envious experiences of all our bloggers. She recently posted her year in review in which she dissects her travels over the past year. My words can’t do justice to the places she’s visited but thankfully she put up a great post detailing her year and everywhere she visited. Keep it up Mrs O!
The Cultureur
Nyssa is a very talented blogger who is great at engaging with her audience and runs a fantastic #seetheworldchat on Twitter. Unbeknownst to Nyssa, she was actually one of my inspirations for beginning a travel blog, as I too feel that I have many amazing stories and destinations to share. Recently reaching her 1 year anniversary, Nyssa hit the ground running and you should certainly keep track of her adventures.
The Travel Hack
Monica is a fresh and exuberant blogger who has recently quit her 9-5 job to make travelling and social media her life. Her blog over the last year includes loads of short trips out of London where she was working full time and still amassed a great itinerary, so it goes to show just because you work the 9-5 doesn’t mean you have to stay in and not experience the world! I recommend you follow her journey, and if you’re an aspiring blogger take copious notes from Monica.
The Luxury Editor
I’ve been following Ross and Chrystal for the last 14 months or so after bonding with Ross over Rolexes on Twitter… You don’t find many blogs oriented around Scotland and they do a great job at bringing the best of Edinburgh to light. If you’re yet to visit Edinburgh then check out their guide on the city and all their run down of the attractions. A very worthy addition to this list in 2015.
Bonvivant
When The Luxe Travel was starting out Emyr from Bonvivant was one of the first people to reach out and get in touch. I’ve been secretly following his journal for a while after finding some great information on members clubs which I’m considering joining. From Emyr you can expect quaint reviews of some of London’s top establishments and use his concierge service should you need it.
SLH
It’s not often private companies have interesting and witty blogs. With Melissa’s help SLH have an interesting blog which helps showcase and some of their fabulous hotels. We recently stayed at Hotel Villa Carlotta which is one of their listings and I still don’t think I will ever visit another place with such character and class.
Inside the Travel Lab
If you’re looking for unusual luxury adventure all over the world then Abi is the person to turn to. She traded life as a Doctor to travel the world and become a freelancer writer. Her website lets your delve into different senses from temptation to elation, in a journey of discovery to what the world has to offer.
Like us Bonnie thinks fashion and style go hand in hand which led her to set up The Style Traveller. She’s been featured by numerous others as a top luxury travel blogger and features posts that will make you take out your credit card and book your next adventure.
Just Luxe
Sometimes it’s hard to find the latest luxury news, so in order to do so you need to follow some larger sites. Justluxe are not so much of a personal blog but they do have a editorial team that releases really interesting pieces that will give you some great insights on where and how to plan your next holiday. Worth keeping in your RSS feed.
That wraps up my top 10 – I will not single out any one of them as the best as they are all very unique, each contributing character and class to the luxury travel scene, and without one another the luxe space would be no where near as interesting.
Who are your favourite travel bloggers and why? Feel free to share in comments below.
Cheers,
Will
